For Message Analyzer to be able to parse ETW messages from a particular provider, it must have a manifest for that provider. The manifest is a configuration file that defines the schema or format of the data that is delivered by the provider. When starting a Live Trace Session that is configured to use a specific system ETW provider, Message Analyzer typically obtains the required system manifest from the.
If a trace file is saved and then transferred to another system, that system may not have the same provider components, component versions, or an appropriate provider manifest that is needed to enable parsing of the ETW messages.
On computers that are running the Windows 10 operating system, Message Analyzer can now use dynamic messages generated from raw ETW events to enable the Runtime to parse ETL files with no manifest. This feature accommodates the new ETL file format on Windows 10, where the message format definitions are self-contained. In this scenario, an OPN description is not required. However, on computers that are running an operating system that is earlier than Windows 10, you might have an event trace log ETL that utilized an ETW provider that is not registered in the particular system on which you are running Message Analyzer.

This means that it could request more than one media segment by one HTTP 1. These features definitely lead to a more efficient use of the connection. MPEG-2 TS consists of packets with bytes in size, where each packet has headers with a varying size of 4 to 12 bytes. Therefore, the overhead caused by these headers increases proportionally with the segment size, which means that relative overhead does not tend to zero with increasing bitrates.
Additionally, audio and video streams are encapsulated in Packetized Elementary Streams PES which introduces an extra overhead per audio sample or video frame. VOD content with one quality can be described through the basic playlist feature, which means that the individual segments URLs are available in the main M3U8. If you want to offer multiple qualities as intended with adaptive multimedia streaming, you will have to use the variant playlist.

I know it's probably not the right place to raise this question, but I have a live event coming up and I guess since all the streaming masters are here, this is the quickest place I can get an answer.
My current setup on desktop browsers: I use Hls. You will need to add this data somehow in your encoder. But you'd have to manage the download timer. The spec says you should attempt a download on an interval based on the segment length. I can't say off the top of my head, but I'd imagine it'd be very difficult to get 1 second accuracy. Safari won't tell you what segment it's downloading, and you can't always assume things are running in sequential order.
Tricky given the limited native video API. It's a moving target with live. You won't know how the current time or buffer map to whatever the internal playlist state may be. This issue has been automatically marked as stale because it has not had recent activity.
